What to Bring/ Farm Rules

What to bring

  • Sunscreen or protective clothing & bug spray: the field is open and doesn't have much shade options. Please wear protective footwear if it’s been rainy rainboots may be a good idea. Crocs, flip flops and heels not recommended.
  • Respectful children!  Please DO NOT allow children to chase, harass or tease our animals in any way, or purposely destroy the flowers or property. You will be asked to leave. Also, please note that you are visiting a working flower farm for a u-pick flower experience.  Flower picking is the main and only attraction, we do not have play areas for children and expect for your children to be attended by an adult at all times.
  • If you have a severe BEE/STINGING INSECT allergy, please consider picking up pre-picked blooms or visiting us at the farmers markets instead of venturing into the fields. We have honeybees and other pollinators on-site and as with any outdoor activity there is always a risk that a threatened insect may bite or sting.
  • Service animals welcome but please do not bring your dogs to the farm. New seedlings are delicate, some varieties are toxic if eaten, and birds/squirrels are everywhere…difficult situations for a dog to be on their best behavior.

You Assume Any and All Risks

When paying to come to our farm you are accepting the risk of walking on uneven ground, and that some days the mud can be slippery. The snips are kept sharp to protect the plants we cut, so please don’t forget that you can cut yourself if not used properly. We are home to stinging bees and wasps, they too like the flowers, and the risk of being stung may be greater than when you are at home.

Destruction of Property

Our Cutting Garden is a part of our family home. Any willful damage caused by anyone in your party will not be tolerated and will result in the forfeiture of your visit. You will be asked to leave and banned from coming back.

Accompanying Children

If you are accompanying anyone under the age of 13, please keep them in your care during your visit. Children found wandering on their own or damaging plants may be forced into 2 hours of pulling weeds.

Photography Policy

The Petal Farm is an ideal spot for photos. We encourage you to take photos/selfies while you are here. However, if you are taking photographs professionally, please click the "photography sessions" below for more information. We welcome those who wish to use the field for commercial portrait purposes. A commercial shoot must be booked by the photographer and not the subject. The farm assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any equipment or belongings. Unauthorized photography sessions will be asked to leave the farm.
